Waiting.
So.. After 6 years of waiting, my colleague finally will enter new phase of his dream job--being a pilot!
His determination renewed the license with each paper costs RM 700 and I don't really know how many papers that he sat for but obviously it is expensive! And I'd say his waiting is such a worth waiting, given that I believe most of my friends at my age and me myself would not have that patience.
He is so optimist and worked at couple places as a barista while completing his degree at a Business school. I am saying this so you won't say he gets things easily--he works his ass off for this.
Many of us want to obtain good result, but the big question is, how many of us willing to sacrifice? As muslims, we have been exposed to story of our prophets, and yes, they are the chosen ones yet they still got to sacrifice.
I waited for 5 years to get my surgery. I sacrificed my love for sports and all because of my spines. I made my parents to sacrifice for me for the surgery bills. But do you know that, aftermath of sacrifice, sometimes we won't get things as how we want it to be. The big but here is, God is showering his blessings in ways if we can never imagine. From sacrifice --> patience. Rewards of being patience is never mentioned in Qur'an and Hadith but suffice to say that the reward is super massive.
I know some who are reading this are waiting and sacrifice a lot for placement, posting, soulmate, kids, whatever it is, let's not lose faith in Allah. As mentioned in Surah Maryam verse 4: .......dan aku tidak pernah berputus asa dalam meminta kepadamu, ya Tuhanku...
Waiting can be so emotionally torturing. That's why Allah is rewarding with great pahala to those who have the patience.
Other than pahala.. We have to always bear in mind that, lashing out our anger or dissatisfaction will bring us nowhere.
